Lasagna 😋 Recipe below! ⬇️

MEAT SAUCE
1 lb ground beef
1 lb hot sausage
2 cloves garlic 🧄
2 cans (14.5oz) whole tomatoes 🍅
2 cans (6oz) tomato paste
2 tbs dried parsley
2 tbs dried basil
1 tsp salt

CHEESE
3 cups low fat cottage cheese
2 eggs (beaten)
1/2 c grated parmesan
2 tbs dried parsley
1 tsp salt

1 lb fresh mozzarella

1 box lasagna noodles

1. Brown ground beef + sausage in a large pan and drain the fat. Then add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, 2 tbs dried parsley, 2 tbs dried basil and 1 tsp salt. Simmer for 45 minutes.
2. Boil water and cook noodles according to package.
3. Mix cottage cheese, beaten eggs, 2 tbs dried parsley, 1 tsp salt and grated Parmesan cheese together in a medium bowl.
4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
5. In a deep 9×13 pan spoon some sauce into the bottom so the noodles don’t stick then layer about 5-6 noodles on the bottom. Add half the cheese mixture, then mozzarella ed by a little less than half the meat mixture. Repeat layers again ending with the meat sauce and top it off with a healthy sprinkle of grated Parmesan on top.
6. Bake for 20-30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
